By aggregating expired, damaged, returned, and unwanted medicines across participating pharmacies, DSF leverages economies of scale to significantly reduce individual cost burdens, eliminate complex disposal logistics, and achieve FDA compliance without administrative burden.
Our network-level FDA coordination means better outcomes for all participants. Pooled volumes lower per-unit disposal costs for every member, while centralized incineration is cleaner and more efficient than scattered disposal.

OUR MISSION
The Drug Safety Foundation exists to ensure that all community pharmacies in Ghana engage in safe, legal, and sustainable pharmaceutical waste disposal — protecting patients, protecting communities, and protecting Ghana's ecosystem through FDA-supervised incineration and certified destruction.
